Spain is marching closer to a brave new world in a push to legalize euthanasia:
Spain’s lower house voted Tuesday in favour of examining a draft law on legalising euthanasia, the second such bill accepted for consideration in just over a month in a first for the country.
Lawmakers voted 208 against 133 — and one abstention — to examine the bill, which was drafted by the ruling Socialist party.
In May, a similar proposal submitted by Catalonia’s regional parliament was also admitted, but it only focused on legalising euthanasia.
This latest draft law also seeks to make euthanasia legal in public and private health services.
But it goes a step further by regulating it, laying out the conditions by which a person can apply to die.
It is the first time that bills aimed at legalising euthanasia make it past this first parliamentary hurdle after previous attempts failed.
“This regulation guarantees to protect the fundamental right to life, but also the recognition that it isn’t an absolute right,” Adriana Lastra, deputy head of the Socialist party, told parliament.
“It’s a right that must be adjusted according to other values, including that of human dignity.”
The American writer, Kurt Vonnegut, wrote a 1973 short story called “Welcome To The Monkey House” in which he envisioned that in the future we would have euthanasia clinics painted to look like popular Howard Johnson’s restaurants.
That nightmarish dream is coming true as the liberals look for a way to kill off the old White useless eaters and replace them with non-White welfare dependents. Now that even traditionally-Catholic Spain is looking to legalize euthanasia, it will become a common “human right” in the EU in the near future.
Chesterton
When convicted violent criminals are sentenced to death by lethal injection, liberals consider it “cruel and unusual punishment.” When our beloved elderly family members are given lethal injections, it’s considered “humane” and “merciful”.
Maybe if we didn’t ignore and isolate our elderly in nursing homes, they wouldn’t get depressed and want to die. Maybe if our doctors actually knew how to treat and cure diseases, our elderly wouldn’t literally be tortured by “modern” medicine for the last 10 years of their lives.

I always said, concerning abortion, that it was a first step. I knew that (((they))) would introduce physician-assisted suicide, then euthanasia as a humane and dignified experience. The Catholics, I suppose are just openly apostate now, without even trying to hide it.
