Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1935 to Jewish parents, Silverstein was raised in an era when same-sex sexual activity was illegal in most parts of the United States, and expressions of homosexuality were highly stigmatized. The shame that he felt well into his adulthood – and the fear of professional repercussions – caused him to hide his identity and even enroll in conversion therapy. It also profoundly influenced his work as a therapist, author and LGBTQ rights activist.
Silverstein studied education at the State University of New York at New Paltz before earning a PhD in psychology from Rutgers in 1974.
His testimony before the American Psychiatric Association in 1973 was crucial to the reclassification of homosexuality, which until that point had been considered a mental disorder and “sexual deviation,” and is considered one of the greatest achievements in the gay rights movement following the Stonewall riots.
His 1977 book “The Joy of Gay Sex: An Intimate Guide for Gay Men to the Pleasures of a Gay Lifestyle,” co-authored with Edmund White, sought to put an end to the shame surrounding homosexuality and acted as a guide to the gay lifestyle for readers with few other accessible resources. It became essential reading for members of the gay community, and was followed up by updated versions “The New Joy of Gay Sex” (co-authored with Felice Picano) in 1993 and a revised and expanded edition in 2006. It was also banned, burned, and, in the few bookstores that did carry it, hidden from public sight.
Silverstein went on to write a number of books focusing on gay affirmation and was the founding editor of The Journal of Homosexuality. He was also the founding director of the Institute for Human Identity, which focused on LGBTQ-affirming psychotherapy, and the Identity House, a New York City counseling center. He became an American Psychological Association Fellow in 1987 and received a lifetime achievement award from the organization in 2011.
Real science strives to be objective — and we can hardly expect a Jewish homosexual to be objective about his own psychological disorders — and on that basis alone, Silverstein should have recused himself from any decision-making process concerning the psychological nature of homosexuality.
If homosexuality is, in fact, a mental and emotional disorder — as all objective research showed prior to the scandalous APA decision to normalize it — we can hardly expect someone who has a mental disorder to understand it in any kind of disinterested way.
But this “sexual revolution” has never been about science — if it were, homosexuals would be given the help they really need — which is the exact opposite of treating them as “normal.”
When a society normalizes the abnormal, that society inevitably becomes disordered itself — by unnaturally accepting what is — prima facie — not based in reality — and will ultimately collapse under its own internal contradictions.
Instead Jews like Silverstein now promote this new trope — the validity of a “lived experience” — where one’s own subjective perceptions replace and supersede objective reality.
The extremely high level of psychological problems among homosexuals was blamed on the larger society’s “repression” and “rejection” of homosexuals — yet in the 50 years since its official “normalization,” homosexuals still have even higher levels of drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence, and suicide.
The so-called “liberation” of homosexuals has merely served to encourage them to indulge in their disorder in ever more extreme forms — putting the larger society at risk of suffering collateral damage — the break up and re-definition of families, the sexualization and brutalization of children, and rampant gender dysphoria.
The normalization, promotion, and defense of homosexuality has always been a cornerstone of the judeo-bolshevization of our white Christian nations — the normal, healthy nuclear family has become stigmatized and pathologized as a breeding ground for “fascism,” “antisemitism, and white supremacy.“
Culture Wars publisher, E. Michael Jones, calls this phenomenon “Libido Dominandi” — that is, political control through sexual liberation — with the normalization and protection of pedophilia as the ultimate prize.
Because Jewish identity itself is problematic, ambiguous, and not based in reality, they want to project their own confusion on society at large, demonizing anyone who resists their agenda to “heal the world” — tikkun olam — and remake it in their own image.
Homosexuality was always perceived as an extreme form of narcissism — and Jewish identity suffers from the same endemic navel gazing — the value of anything is judged by the solipsistic standard “But is it good for Jews?“
Perhaps this intersectionality of Judaism and homosexuality explains why these narcissistics believe that “Jews are the smartest race in the world — and superior humans” — they indeed are our “betters” as the British would say.
And that is why homosexuality is now extolled as a “virtue” — a “gift from God” — because its promotion is “good for the Jews” — it makes the world more “Jewish” — and encourages even more people to identify as “victims” — not merely victims, but rather their true status as The World’s Ultimate Victims™.
