The case of a little girl who is paralyzed after being raped by her uncle in Sierra Leone has led the president to declare sexual violence a national emergency:
The five-year-old, who is being kept anonymous for her safety, was paralysed from the waist down after her 28-year-old uncle raped her a year ago, crushing her spine.
“She may never walk again, and I want vengeance for what has happened,” her grandmother said.
“The man who did this ruined her life and deserves to spend his life in prison.”
Her case has outraged the West African country, where reported cases of sexual and gender-based violence nearly doubled last year to more than 8,500.
A third of those involved a minor.
But activists, including President Julius Maada Bio’s wife, Fatima, say the actual figures are much higher as most cases are never reported.
There is a rape epidemic all across Africa where upwards of 40% of all females are raped during their lifetime. But this rape epidemic is very problematic for Liberals because both the victims and the perpetrators are Black, and it therefore does not fit into the overall Liberal narrative of Black victimhood. When a Black woman is raped or murdered by a Black man, feminists are notoriously silent. After all, to criticize a Black rapist might be construed as “racist”, and the race card always trumps the rape card any day in Liberal Land.
Whites have had a very difficult time in Black-run countries convincing them that rape is wrong. In fact, it’s been only in the last 15 years or so that rape was made officially illegal in Haiti. But making rape “illegal” doesn’t really deter Black rapists all that much. For Blacks, something is legal if you can get away with it, and the only reason not to do something is that you might get arrested for it. That’s Black “morality” in a nutshell. And many Africans believe that if you rape a virgin, you’ll be cured of AIDS, so how can rape be “bad”?
