‘Saint’ Brandsma Of Dachau — How Human Medical Experimentation Conducted By U.S. Was Revealed At Nuremberg

(Vatican News) This week the Vatican announced its intention to confer sainthood on Titus Brandsma, a Dutch priest who was arrested in 1942 by German occupation forces in the Netherlands for urging Catholic newspapers to refuse to publish “Nazi propaganda.” The Germans offered Brandsma the opportunity to live a quiet life in a monastery if he would simply comply with the law that required all newspapers to publish official German documents, but he refused.

Brandsma was subsequently an inmate at a number of detention camps, but eventually ended up in Dachau where — as some sources allege — he was killed after being given a “lethal injection” as part of medical experiments that were being conducted at the camp.

Oddly, the Vatican News site does not mention Brandsma’s “murder by injection” — but rather merely states the far less dramatic cause of death as “hardship and starvation.”

Just to set the record straight, German doctors did, in fact, conduct medical experiments on a small number of prisoners at Dachau, but there is no evidence whatsoever that any inmates were intentionally murdered with “lethal injections.”

In fact, there is no evidence that Dachau was an “extermination” camp at all — and the attempts of the Allies to portray it as such have been exposed as a cynical, anti-German propaganda and psy-op campaign to demonize the vanquished enemy, using the skills of Hollywood movie directors such as Bill Wilder and Alfred Hitchcock.

Dr. Klaus Karl Schilling — the German doctor who oversaw the experiments to find a cure for malaria at Dachau — kept meticulous records — which he voluntarily surrendered to the Allies at the end of the war. All of the participants in his malaria trials — which involved experimental vaccines — had to be approved by his superiors in Berlin.

It could very well be that Fr. Titus Brandsma not only took part in those malaria experiments, but given his altruistic nature, he may very well have even volunteered to participate in them. And, yes, inmates were given the opportunity to volunteer for these experiments in exchange for certain privileges at the camp. According to Dr. Schilling’s records, 10 inmates died while participating in these trials — far fewer than the number who have already died in the vaccine trials currently conducted by Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca.

During the infamous “Doctors Trials” at Nuremberg, the Allies were caught in a brazen act of hypocrisy when defense attorneys for the accused doctors produced documented evidence that the U.S. army had also been conducting very similar human medical experiments on malaria and other diseases during the war. According to Annie Jacobsen’s book on Operation Paperclip, Dr. Robert Servatius, a German defense attorney,

…had located a Life magazine article, published in June of 1945, that described how OSRD conducted experiments on 800 U.S. prisoners during the war. Servatius read the entire article, word for word, in the courtroom. None of the American judges was familiar with the article, nor were most members of the prosecution, and its presentation in court clearly caught the Americans off guard. Because the article specifically discussed U.S. Army wartime experiments on prisoners, it was incredibly damaging for the prosecution. “Prison life is ideal for controlled laboratory work with humans,” Servatius read, quoting American doctors who had been interviewed by Life reporters. The idea that extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures, and that both nations had used human test subjects during war, was unsettling. It pushed the core Nazi concept of the Untermenschen to the side. The Nuremberg prosecutors were left looking like hypocrites.

This evidence left U.S. prosecutors scrambling for some sort of damage control, so they brought one of America’s most prominent medical researchers — Dr. Andrew C. Ivy — to testify at Nuremberg in an attempt to demonstrate that the American experiments were somehow more “ethical” than the ones conducted by the Germans.

In fact, Dr. Ivy — who himself had conducted malaria experiments on humans — was caught in an embarrassing lie when he claimed that the United States had established strict ethical principles for human medical experimentation under the “Green Committee” — when, in fact, those standards were written only after the damaging evidence from Life Magazine had been previously introduced as evidence at Nuremberg, and that those “ethical standards” were created before Ivy’s appearance at Nuremberg — for the sole purpose mitigating the impact of the evidence of U.S. human experimentation.

Despite being exposed as unconscionable hypocrites — and against the advice of the lead American investigator, Dr. Charles Lawson, who stated, “I am sure that the execution of Dr. Schilling deprived the world of some very valuable scientific information” — the Allies nevertheless handed down a death sentence upon Dr. Schilling.

Not only that, the ghoulish prosecutors forced Dr. Schilling’s wife to watch her husband be hanged.

Apparently, the Nuremberg Trials allowed a similar level of “proof” to convict Germans as the Vatican does in canonizing their saints.

In order for Titus Brandsma of Dachau to be canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church, Brandsma must somehow perform a miracle after his death — which he apparently did — or at least a piece of his clothing did when it allegedly cured another priest’s cancer:

A Catholic priest in Florida told CNA in 2018 that he attributed his miraculous healing from cancer to Brandsma’s intercession. Fr. Michael Driscoll, O. Carm, was diagnosed with advanced melanoma in 2004. Shortly afterward, someone gave him a small piece of Brandsma’s black suit, which the American priest applied to his head each day.

He underwent major surgery, with doctors removing 84 lymph nodes and a salivary gland. He then went through 35 days of radiation treatment. Doctors said that his subsequent recovery from Stage 4 cancer was scientifically inexplicable. Driscoll said that his doctor told him: “No need to come back, don’t waste your money on airfare in coming back here. You’re cured. I don’t find any more cancer in you.” A congress of theologians recognized the healing as a miracle on May 25 this year. A group of cardinals approved the canonization cause on Nov. 9, submitting their decision to Pope Francis.

The only “miracle” here is the gullibility of those who believe any of this charade.
